The monitoring and control of food quality is a very important area of Food and Beverage Manufacturing — all the way from paddock to plate.

While we now have more variety and shelf-life longevity, consumers need to be assured that they are buying food products of a consistently high quality and with safety levels they can rely on.

In working in food quality, you could be developing new quality assurance initiatives in a plant, better analytical testing methods, checking the shelf life of new packaging or liaising with the Quarantine Service over export requirements.

Your focus will be on the improvement of existing systems and the development of new quality initiatives. Working in Food Quality, you will gain experience in risk analysis and management, develop skills in sampling and testing methods and learn the regulatory aspects of quality control.
